This tea light holder is designed to hold small, metal-encased, 1/2" size tea lights (2-4 hour tea lights available at many popular retailers). Any larger size will stick out of the top, which works but will not look like the picture. Please see third photo for details.

Safety First: While these tealight holders are designed to contain the heat of the candle, please exercise caution when handling them, especially when the tealight is lit. We do not recommend the use of plastic tealight candles in this burner. Always remember to blow out the candle before it burns to the bottom.

The small standard size tealight will fit snugly into the holder - simply use a butterknife, fingers, or tweezer/pliers to remove tealight when finished if you have any difficulty removing it after the wax expands a bit. With the metal cups, you can bend the cup slightly if needed. 

A gentle reminder: always let your light shine, but do so safely.
